SUMMARY:Day of Arafah
DESCRIPTION:The Day of Arafah is an Islamic holiday that falls on the 9th day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic Calendar. It is the holiest day in the Islamic calendar\, the second day of the Hajj pilgrimage\, and the day after is the first day of the major Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha. At dawn of this day\, Muslim pilgrims will make their way from Mina to a nearby hillside and plain called Mount Arafat and the Plain of Arafat. It was from this site that the prophet Muhammad gave one of his last sermons in the final year of his life. Some Muslims hold that part of the Quranic verse announcing that the religion of Islam had been perfected was revealed on this day. \nAdditional informationhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_Arafat \nWikipedia content re-released under CC-BY-SA.https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ \nThis calendar is provided by WebCal.Guru https://www.webcal.guru/. \nContent createdWed\, 22 Apr 2026 16:35:04 +0000 \nSubscription ID–

SUMMARY:Martyrdom of Muslim ibn Aqeel & Hani ibn Urwa in Kufa\, 60 AH
DESCRIPTION:Muslim ibn Aqil al-Hashimi was the son of Aqil ibn Abi Talib and a member of the clan of Bani Hashim\, thus\, he is a cousin of Hussain ibn Ali. The people of Kufa called upon Husayn to overthrow the Umayyad dynasty who was on his way to Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage. He wanted to confirm the loyalty of the people of Kufa\, so he sent his cousin and his ambassador\, Muslim ibn Aqeel\, a famous warrior\, to Kufa to observe the situation. He sent a letter to Hussain confirming their loyalty\, before knowing that the 30\,000 followers that he gained would all betray him for their lives. He was executed by the newly installed governor\, Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad\, on the 9th of Zilhaj\, 60 AH\, and is buried at the back of Great Mosque of Kufa. \nAdditional informationhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim_ibn_Aqeel \nWikipedia content re-released under CC-BY-SA.https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ \nThis calendar is provided by WebCal.Guru https://www.webcal.guru/. \nContent createdWed\, 22 Apr 2026 16:35:04 +0000 \nSubscription ID–

SUMMARY:Eid al-Adha
DESCRIPTION:– Eid al-Adha– عيد الأضحى‎ \nEid al-Adha is the latter of the two official holidays celebrated within Islam. It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismael as an act of obedience to God’s command. Before Ibrahim could sacrifice his son\, however\, God provided a ram to sacrifice instead. In commemoration of this intervention\, animals are sacrificed ritually. One third of their meat is consumed by the family offering the sacrifice\, while the rest is distributed to the poor and needy. Sweets and gifts are given\, and extended family are typically visited and welcomed. The day is also sometimes called Big Eid or the Greater Eid. \nAdditional informationhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_al-Adha \nWikipedia content re-released under CC-BY-SA.https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ \nThis calendar is provided by WebCal.Guru https://www.webcal.guru/. \nContent createdWed\, 22 Apr 2026 16:35:04 +0000 \nSubscription ID–
